Here I’ll present you how to install Fedora 17 “Beefy Miracle” on VBOX.
First Download the latest installation of VBOX from the VBOX Download Page

Install the VBOX software (there are no specific settings, just next,next,next..) and then download Fedora 17 from the DL page

Start the Virtual Box software and click new:

Give a name to your VM

There are not many settings, and they are all pretty easy to understand. The settings are on one step at a time. After you give a name to your VM, click Next and set the memory to 2048MB. On the next step choose to create new disk. The next step will ask you to choose the file type. This is a nice feature if you are going to use this VM on different supporting software like Vbox, then VMware, etc. For our tutorial we are going to set it on the default VDI file extension.
On the next step choose the dynamic extension of the disk.
On the next step set the size to your needs (it wont take all of the size from the start)

After finishing the creation of the new machine, select the machine, and then click on settings. First you will have to set the ISO file, or the CDROM drive in order to install Fedora:

Make sure that you are using bridged network:

Next start the VM and follow this link: HowTo: Setup Fedora 17 “Beefy Miracle” Desktop with LVM Partitions
